Still time to help Humane Society win Rachael Ray Challenge

TUCSON - The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is still in the running to win the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, but it needs more support from the community to put it over the top.

The Humane Society has found homes for 428 dogs and cats during the first three weeks of the Challenge.

To keep up the momentum, several generous supporters are helping out.

Dogs and cats will be on site, ready for adoption at the Kiehl's Counter in Dillard's at Tucson Mall this Saturday, August 25, from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Free adoptions on mixed-breeds, adults dogs over 25 pounds and adult cats also have been extended through Labor Day.

The Volpe Team at Nova Home Loans is sponsoring free adoptions on Saturday, September 1, and The Realtors at Valley Gold Team-Re/Max are underwriting free adoptions on Sunday, September 2.

Plus, Amy Buller is sponsoring adoptions that will be offered in the Humane Society's lobby from noon-5pm on Monday, September 3.

If you'd like to become a Challenge Champion, call Karen Hollish at 321-3704, ext. 188.
