TUCSON-Temps this week will be the hottest so far this year as we officially welcome in Summer this week. The peak of the heat will be Thursday with places in Southern Arizona touching close to 110 degrees.

Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino says we'll deal with the heat first but the payoff may be monsoon storms by the weekend. The pattern looks good to get afternoon storms Saturday through Monday. We need a 54 degree dewpoint three days in a row to start the monsoon.
