Starting November on a warm note

TUCSON - Feeling more early October than early November this afternoon.

A high pressure ridge over the Rockies brings another warm day, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Daytime highs today reach the upper 80's in Tucson, with temps running 6-8 degrees above average across southern Arizona. Ample sunshine rules the skies this afternoon, with clear skies overnight.

Heading into the weekend, expect a slight cool-down as a weak low pressure trough passes by. Tomorrow through Sunday highs drop to the low 80's for the metro, with a few cirrus clouds dotting the skies.

Warmer weather returns early next week courtesy of high pressure off the California coastline. By Election Day, highs reach the upper 80's in Tucson. Models are hinting at a significant pattern change by the end of next week, with the possibility of cooler weather, showers and gusty winds.
