TUCSON - A former America's Got Talent contestant is back in Tucson this weekend ready to perform in front of his hometown.
Danny 'Special Head' Wolverton became well known for his levitating magic tricks on the last season of NBC's hit show America's Got Talent. Wolverton tells News 4 Tucson it has been a wild ride since his time on the show.
"It sky-rocketed my career bringing me many opportunities I wouldn't have had before. It brought me to Qatar and I just did the Miley Cyrus release party," says Wolverton.
Before Special Head wowed the crowd and the judges on AGT he was pursuing his career as a performer moving from Tucson to Los Angeles and making ends meet anyway he can.
Wolverton says, "I was merely a humble street performer making my living just performing on the streets."
Even though he didn't win AGT he is now performing on stages halfway around the world. From his hometown Tucson all the way to Qatar in the Middle East, Special Head uses his magic act to inspire people to seek out their own spirituality.
Now you can see Danny 'Special Head' Wolverton perform his act at The Slaughter House this Saturday at 8pm and 10pm. Wolverton tells News 4 Tucson he will be unveiling a new bag of tricks at the All Souls Procession on November 3.
