PHOENIX (AP) - Southbound Interstate 17 is closed at the junction with the Loop 101 in north Phoenix, with all southbound traffic is being routed off I-17 onto Loop 101.

Authorities say the closure Tuesday morning is due to a man's dead body being found on I-17. The body was below a car parked on the ramp from eastbound Loop 101 to northbound I-17.

It's not clear whether the man fell or jumped but authorities say there's no indication of foul play.

The closure occurred roughly where a young man was killed several hours earlier when he lost control of his motorcycle on a ramp from I-17 to Loop 101.

Authorities say that the motorcyclist fell several hundred feet onto Loop 101.
