SOUTH TUCSON - A suspect has now been identified in a shooting Sunday afternoon in South Tucson that left another man wounded.

Police say on Sunday at approximately 3:50 p.m., South Tucson Officers responded to the 1800 Block of South 8th Avenue to a call of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to leg.

outh Tucson Detectives responded and interviewed several witnesses. It was determined that the victim and suspect knew each other and were outside arguing when the suspect fired several rounds from a small caliber handgun. The victim then retrieved his own handgun and returned fire. It does not appear the suspect was injured.
