TUCSON - Feeling more Seattle than Sonoran Desert this afternoon.
Remnant moisture from Tropical Storm Lorena combines with a low pressure trough west of Tucson to develop widespread showers & storms today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. While a lack of sunshine limits the potential for microbursts & hail, locally heavy rainfall will be possible.
Today's daytime high of 84° will run 12° below average for early September.
Scattered storms return to the forecast tomorrow, although not as widespread as today. A dry push of air from the west limits storms to the isolated variety mid-week. Odds are increasing that Monsoon 2013 shuts down this weekend.
