SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say three people are injured after a small plane crashed at the Sedona Airport in northern Arizona and went off a 200-foot runway ledge.
Sedona Fire District spokesman Gary Johnson says the plane went off the south end of the runway and over a dropoff area about 2 p.m. Tuesday.
It's still unclear if the plane was taking off or landing when the crash occurred.
Johnson says the pilot and two passengers survived.
He says one person was airlifted to a Flagstaff hospital and another was taken by ground ambulance.
There's no immediate word on the names and conditions of the three people or where the plane was coming from or headed to.
Crews from the Sedona Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service still are at the crash scene.
