Slight storm chances back for the Old Pueblo

TUCSON - After a quiet stretch of weather, Monsoon 2014 returns to wrap the week.

Increased moisture levels across southern Arizona leads to isolated storms today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The best chance of storms appears to be along and west of a Tucson-Nogales line. While widespread activity is not anticipated, storms may be capable of gusty winds.

High pressure moves toward the Four Corners this weekend, keeping isolated storm chances in the forecast. Daytime highs this afternoon through Sunday reach the mid to upper 90's.

Deeper Monsoon moisture arrives for the start of the new work week. As a result, Monday and Tuesday may see a better chance of scattered storms. The thunder threat decreases some the middle of next week.
