TUCSON- How much sleep did you get last night, and the night before?
If the answer was less than six hours each night you're not only tired, but also unhealthy.
Experts at the CDC say people who don't get enough sleep face an increased risk for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.
Researchers in the UK studied twenty-six volunteers who got less than six hours of sleep a night for a week straight.
The next week they were able to sleep as much as ten hours a night.
They found when the participants were sleep deprived, changes were made to more than seven hundred genes.
