Showers taper, cool temps linger

TUCSON - The rain is gone, but the chill's here to stay.

Under mostly sunny skies, highs reach the upper 50's this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Lows tonight will be chilly, with freezing temps possible in outlying areas of Metro Tucson, Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties.

60° temps return tomorrow, as does partly cloudy skies.

Models continue to hint at a late week storm system entering the state, but trends are taking any precipitation north of the viewing area. Friday sees a slight chance of rain/snow for the mountains of southern Arizona, with valley floors staying dry.

Jeff will have a complete look at your True View 4 forecast this morning on Tucson Today and on News 4 Tucson at Noon.
