TUCSON - Sheriff's deputies are searching for a shoplifting suspect who allegedly sprayed a loss prevention officer with pepper spray at a northwest grocery store.
The man was seen on surveillance video stealing two vodka gift sets, placing them in a blue bag before leaving the store, Pima County Sheriff's spokesman Tom Peine said.
A loss prevention officer confronted the man in the parking lot when the suspect "repeatedly" sprayed him in the eyes, Peine added.
The suspect walked towards the Beyond Bread and got away.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is being asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
