LAS VEGAS (AP) - Sherry Cervi won her fourth barrel racing season title Saturday night at the National Finals Rodeo, winning the 10-round aggregate title and earning her record-tying 10th paycheck.
Cervi, from Marana, Ariz., was fifth in the final round at 14.15 seconds. She topped the aggregate standings at 138.15 to break the record of 138.26 set by Jill Moody in 2010.
She earned $4,808 in the round and made $47,776 for the aggregate title to push her season total to total to $303,317. She led all NFR competitors with $155,899.
Cervi is the fifth barrel racer in NFR history and first since Kristie Peterson in 1997 to finish in the six money-earning spots in all 10 rounds.
Lisa Lockhart of Oelrichs, S.D., won the round at 13.88.
