TUCSON - Pima County Sheriff's officials have identified the man who was shot and killed Thursday evening.

Deputies tell News 4 they received a call about 5:15 p.m. to report someone had been shot.

When they arrived on scene, they found a man, later identified as 34-year-old Gray Eagle Joseph Ortiz, dead. The scene was located at 5600 S. Robin Ave., near Drexel Rd. and Cardinal Ave.

Deputies say witnesses reported seeing people leaving the area in a car.

The PCSD Homicide Unit investigation is ongoing at this time.
