COCHISE COUNTY - Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever has won a critical round in the battle against illegal immigration.
By a 3 to 0 vote, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors has allowed Dever to be represented by attorneys funded by the Border Sheriffs project. This decision ensures that Sheriff Dever will have the resources he needs as the ACLU and the Obama Administration sue our border sheriffs to keep them from enforcing SB1070 and protecting our border.
Bordersheriffs.com is collecting funds to aid in the legal defense of Sheriff Dever and Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu to make sure law enforcement has the legal resources to stand up to open border activists, the federal government, and others who oppose SB 1070. The effort is chaired by Yavapai County businessman Buz Mills.
