TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for east central & central Pima County until 4:30 PM.
This includes the south side of Tucson, Tucson International Airport, Midvale Park, Sahuarita, San Xavier Mission and Sells.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, radar indicates two severe thunderstorms capable of 60 MPH winds. The first is directly over Tucson International Aiport, moving west at 10 MPH. Another severe thunderstorm is located 9 miles north of Sells & also moving west at 10 MPH.
In addition to damaging winds, blowing dust and torrential rain is expected along the I-19 corridor and state highway 86.
