TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Pima County until 10:45 PM.

This includes the Avra Valley, Picture Rocks & Silver Bell.

According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, radar indicates a severe storm capable of damaging winds up to 70 MPH and small hail. This storm is moving southwest at 10 MPH, and may merge with another strong thunderstorm west of Three Points.

Additional warnings may be posted for Sells & communities in the Tohono O'odham Nation over the next 2 hours. Expect gusty winds over 50 MPH and rainfall over one inch overnight.
