Severe clear to mid-week rain/snow

TUCSON - Another dose of Winter weather is 48 hours away.
High pressure north of the state brings a beautiful forecast this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect mostly sunny skies today with high temps in the low to mid 70's across the Tucson metro.
Changes start brewing tomorrow, as gusty winds up to 30 MPH develop ahead of a cold front. By Wednesday, widespread showers and snow move in. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for all of southern Arizona above 4,000 feet Wednesday afternoon and evening. The snow level may drop down to 3,000 feet, impacting Metro Tucson locales like Dove Mountain, the Catalina Foothills, Vail and Corona de Tucson.
Valley rainfall amounts Wednesday could reach 0.25", with 5-10" snow possible atop Mount Lemmon.
