TUCSON - The Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair will take place this weekend, beginning Friday, December 7, 2012, and with it come some street closures.
Fourth Avenue will be closed from University Boulevard to Ninth Street until December 9, 2012.
According to a news release from the City of Tucson, cross streets between University Boulevard and Ninth Street will be closed between Third and Fifth Avenue, except for Sixth Street. With about 300,000 people expected to attend the street fair, city officials ask that motorists adjust their travel plans accordingly, obey all traffic control and be wary of participants in the fair.
The fair is open daily throughout the weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For their safety and your own, pets will not be allowed at the Street Fair. There will be parking for the Street Fair at Main Gate Square Garages, Euclid Avenue at First Street, or Tyndall Avenue at Fourth Street, or at Pennington Street Garage, 110 East Pennington Street. There will also be free shuttles at these locations for the Winter Street Fair.
