PHOENIX (AP) - Sentencing for the former head of the Fiesta Bowl has again been delayed as he continues to cooperate in a state criminal investigation.
Former bowl Chief Executive Officer John Junker pleaded guilty to state and federal charges early this year. He admitted being involved in an illegal campaign-contribution scheme and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case.
His sentencing has been repeatedly postponed and The Arizona Republic reports (http://bit.ly/XF9SQ1) Junker's attorney has obtained another delay in federal and state court.
Lawyer Stephen Dichter says Junker's federal sentencing is now set Feb.25 and his state sentencing is April 24.
