TUCSON - With 6 months until the Arizona primary, Senator John McCain said he's ready to work hard to keep his seat in the United States Senate.
"I can do the job as I have done in the past, but I take every vote seriously,"said John McCain.
But some conservatives said they won't be supporting McCain during this election.
"He votes like a liberal, I think he's a Democrat in disguise and I don't think he has conservative values," said Jennifer Leslie.
But recently elected Senator Scott Brown, who will be making campaign stops with McCain, said he knows the senator can get the job done.
"To have somebody up there right now who has the experience that he has in these critical times, that's the kind of guy you want," said Brown.
During today's rally, McCain expressed some of his concerns in regards to the current Obama administration.
"We have to force a stop to this spending that this administration is governing from the far left. America is a right of center nation and we have committed generational theft and we've got to stop it,"said McCain.
But McCain's opponent, former talk radio host and Congressman J.D. Hayworth said the maverick's time is up and someone else needs to step in.
"He's just been there too long, so lets thank him for his service and welcome him home. And I look forward to serving as a consistent conservative," said Hayworth.
But according to McCain, he isn't going anywhere.
"Anybody is free to run. He was thrown out by the voters in 2006 because he obviously didn't represent them well. I don't take this race for granted and I'm working as hard as I can to make sure I earn the vote and I'm confident of victory," said McCain.
