MESA- Phoenix Police are searching for a suspect in a recent kidnapping and armed robbery case in Mesa, and believe the man could be on his way to Tucson.
Police say last Friday around 10:30 a.m., a woman was kidnapped outside the Mesa Main Public Library after the suspect convinced her to give him a ride to a nearby bus station.
Once inside her car, officers say he stabbed her three times, drove her to a remote area in Florence, and left her tied up with her vehicle.
He is described as a Spanish speaking Hispanic male, between 18 and 22 years old, around 5'6" and 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a grey t-shirt, blue basketball shorts, and dark tennis shoes.
Police think he possibly got a ride with a passing vehicle on the AZ-79 or the Florence-Kelvin Highway.
