Scottsdale car dealership destroyed in blaze

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Firefighters from four different cities are working to contain a fire inside a Scottsdale car dealership.

Authorities say a Mark Kia showroom on Scottsdale Road near Roosevelt Street caught fire around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews from Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa responded to the scene.

Smoke was still seen billowing more than five hours later.

No injuries are reported.

Officials say the blaze started in an electrical room and spread to the attic, triggering sprinklers to come on and leading to the roof collapsing.

But Mark Kia managers say no cars were inside because the showroom was in the process of being remodeled.

Authorities have closed Scottsdale Road between Roosevelt and McDowell Road.
