TUCSON-Showers and storms were a miss so far in Tucson but a few more remain throughout Southern Arizona this evening. The flow has been very moist aloft says Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino and this could mean a few more storms tomorrow.
It's not the best set-up for the Monsoon but we'll take anything we can get at this point. For the second day in a row the dewpoint was above 54 degrees. You need 3 days in a row of 54+ to get the monsoon cycle going.
Temps soar again later next week with highs near 110 by the weekend so expect the thunderstorm pattern to shut off mid week.
