TUCSON - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to stick around to wrap up the weekend.
Deep moisture is still in place over Southern Arizona enough so to support our third straight day of scattered storms. Biggest threat from todays storms will once again be heavy rain leading to possible flooding issues. Remember washes can fill up fast and flow miles from where the storm originated. If you do come across a flooded wash or roadway turn around and find another route. As with any thunderstorm the heavy rain can be accompanied with strong winds, dangerous lightning and hail.
Enough moisture hangs around the region for the start of the work week to support more scattered showers and thunderstorms. By mid week moisture shifts east and storms will become more isolated.
