TUCSON - Scattered storms remain in the forecast to start the weekend.
Another active Monsoon day is expected as moisture remains in place over Southern Arizona, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Heavy rain falling on already saturated ground could lead to more flooding issues as storms take off Saturday afternoon and evening. Storm chances start to taper off later tonight and into Sunday. Moisture begins to thin out to end the weekend but enough remains to support daily storm chances through the start of the work week.
Daytime highs will remain below average for the next several days. The weekend starts out with a forecast high of only 91 and only climbs to 93 for Sunday. As drying continues a slow warming trend takes off with highs jumping back to normal by the middle of next week.
