TUCSON - The hit and miss variety of the Monsoon continues later today.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, drier air infiltrating from the west and a poorly organized Monsoon high pressure center are the keeping storms from becoming widespread across the area.
Isolated storms will develop during the afternoon and evening hours. While a stray storm or two can't be ruled out for the Tucson metro, it appears the best chance of storms today will be along the International Border.
A few storms may produce gusty winds up to 40 mph and rainfall in excess of one inch. Flash flooding is possible in the wildfire burn areas in the Huachuca & Chiricahua Mountains.
Stay with News 4 & KVOA.com for the latest weather developments throughout the day. Jeff will have your complete Monsoon forecast tonight on News 4 at 5:30 and 10.
