TUCSON- As the holidays come near, families are in need of assistance with Christmas gifts. The Salvation Army will hold their annual Toy Assistance program to help provide toys or clothing to families that need them.
According to a news release from the organization, on Saturday Nov. 17th starting at 8 a.m., the Salvation Army will distribute tickets on a first-come first-serve basis to receive an appointment with the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will give out 1,550 pre-registration tickets, one per household.
There is a limited amount of space and organizers will do their best to accommodate the early attendees. The Salvation Army asks that you arrive no earlier than 5 a.m. Those in need of toy assistance may learn more about Saturday's Ticket Disbursement by calling the automated phone line: 792-1629.
During the application process, there will be a opportunity to learn about additional educational and job resources, as well as volunteer opportunities to give back to the community.
