SADDLEBROOKE- Starting a regular exercise routine is a challenge for anyone especially as you get older. But don't tell that to a group of men living at the 55 and older retirement community just north of Tucson called SaddleBrooke.
Established in 1987, SaddleBrooke is now home to almost 8,000 residents. "Where To Retire" magazine chose SaddleBrooke as one of America's top 100 best master-planned communities.
Swim club member, Harold Peter, who swims in the 80 to 85-year-old age group said he doesn't just swim for the sport. The majority of the men are swimming for their health.
"As far as I'm concerned swimming is the best exercise that you can have, you do yacht work you use muscles that you don't use swimming," said Peter. "Also when you go into the water and you have an aliment of any sort it seems like it disappears when you're swimming."
The SaddleBrooke Swim Club has more than 80 members, both men and women. The oldest member is 98 years old.
