TUCSON - Another active Monsoon day slated for the Sonoran Desert.
A mid-level disturbance combined with ample moisture triggers scattered storms today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The best chance of storms today will be along the International Border. Activity today will be capable of flash flooding, damaging microburst winds & a dust storm.
Tucson may see a later start to storms compared to yesterday, moving in late afternoon or early evening. Highs peak in the upper 90's this afternoon before storms roll in. A few storms may linger overnight.
Tomorrow through Friday sees a downturn in storm development, with isolated thunder across southern Arizona. Models hint at an active weekend in store, thanks to a mid-level disturbance moving in from the east. Scattered storms are possible Saturday and Sunday.
