Robbery suspect turns himself in after family says he was on the news

TUCSON - A suspect who allegedly robbed two Circle K stores turned himself in to sheriffs Tuesday night after family members told him his picture was on the news.

Umberto Robles Durazo, 31, called the Pima County Sheriff's Department from a payphone at a convenience store last night after family members told him about his picture being on the news. Deputies responded to his location and took him into custody without incident.

During questioning, Durazo was linked to two Circle K robberies that happened on July 3: one at 2840 W. Los Reales Road, and one at 5680 S. Mission Road.

Police are still looking for a suspect in a June 27 robbery of the Circle K at 2840 W. Los Reales Road.

Anyone with information on that case is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
