Road restrictions across Arizona

The Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Department of Transportation have released the following road restrictions:

Interstate 17, southbound direction only, will be opened briefly from now until 9 p.m. in order to clear out waiting traffic and commercial drivers waiting in Flagstaff to get south to the Phoenix area. After 9 p.m., the interstate will be re-closed until further notice.

At 6 p.m. both I-40 and I-17 will be closed indefinitely. Both interstates could be closed until noon Friday.

I-40 westbound will be closed in Winslow.

I-40 eastbound will be closed at the U.S. 93 South Junction east of Kingman.

I-17 northbound will continue to be closed north of Camp Verde at the Sedona Exit 298 or the Junction of I-17 and SR 179.

I-17 southbound will be closed at the I-10 and I-17 Junction in Flagstaff.

I-10: Dust storm and high wind warning between Phoenix and Tucson.

I-10 Milepost 192-194 in Casa Grande Dust storm-visibility zero, Westbound lanes of I-10 are blocked at milepost 210.5 just northeast of Picacho Peak.

I-10 milepost 230-240 Dust and 40mph winds near Eloy, just north of Tucson. The use of high profile vehicles along I-10 is highly discourged, especially in the areas in-between Phoenix and Tucson.

We have a semi which rolled onto it's side, in high winds, at milepost 210.5 on westbound I-10.
The westbound lanes are blocked. No report of injuries with this roll over. No other vehicles involved.

We have two separate traffic situations working on that section of the highway.

Due to high winds as well as several Semi-Tractor trailer which have blown over, Interstate-8 is closed eastbound at milepost 40 or Cacna and westbound at milepost 67 or Dateland. We expect I-8 to be closed for the next three hours. We highly discourge high profile vehicles including Commercial Tractor Trailers to travel in the area of I-8 as well as I-10 in Pinal County.

Westbound I-8 at milepost 67 is completely blocked due to a collision involving a Semi tractor trailer rig and a passenger vehicle. Westbound I-8 at milepost 57 #2 lane is blocked due to a collision involving a semi tractor trailer. Eastbound I-8 is completely blocked at milepost 169 due to another overturned commercial truck. All of these trucks are overturned due to high wind conditions.
Snow is reported on SR 82 near Sonoita.

Snow Bowl has informed DPS and ADOT that they are closed through at least tomorrow as they've lost power.
