Several restaurants are offering a free meal to thank members of the military and veterans for their service.

On Wednesday, Applebee's Bar and Grill will give all veterans and active duty personnel a free entree and side dish.

Several other restaurants across the country, including Outback which is giving vets a free Bloomin' Onion, are offering similar promotions in the coming days, so check with your favorite neighborhood eatery.

To claim the deal you must show proof of military service.

Veteran's Day is Wednesday, November 11th.
