TUCSON - Mi Cabana Restaurant on S 6th avenue received 12 critical violations.

A waitress was seen handling dirty dishes and then re-filling customers' coffee without washing her hands. Cooks were bare-handing ready to eat food. Raw steak was stored above cooked shrimp. A cook took a dirty bowl, applied soap and ran water over it, and then placed beans in the bowl. The beans were served to a customer without the bowl being properly sanitized. In fact, this was seen twice while the food inspector was at the restaurant.

Mi Cabana on 6th avenue is now operating on a provisional license. We'll check back.

Santa Rita High School received 2 critical violations.

A dead mouse was observed in the maintenance access closet in the dishwashing area.
Plus, rodent dropping were seen under the dish machine, and a walk-in cooler was not holding foods at the proper temperature.

Santa Rita High School on S Pantano Rd. received a "Needs Improvement" rating.

Good Egg on N Oracle Rd., Wetzel's Pretzels on E Broadway Blvd. and Two Girls Pizza on W Duval Mine Rd. all received an "Excellent" rating.
