TUCSON - Residents in a midtown neighborhood are being evacuated after a reported gas leak, according to Pima County Sheriff's Department officials.
Deputy Tom Peine stated via Twitter that a gas leak was reported in the 4000 block of North Tuttle Avenue, near Roger Road and Flowing Wells Road. Nearby residents are being evacuated and Southwest Gas crews are on the way.
Northwest Fire's Adam Goldberg confirmed that a gas meter was struck and is leaking in an alleyway in the area. Six homes have been evacuated, he stated, and no injuries have been reported. Access to the affected area is restricted.
