Reporter - Bret Buganski

Bret cannot tell you how excited and relieved he is to be in Tucson. Believe it or not, he actually looks forward to triple digit temperatures!

Yes, that's not a typo.

That's because he's a survivor of the "Polar Vortex," a foreign concept here in the old pueblo. 2014s winter, according to Bret, was the worst winter of
his life.

Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, Bret Buganski comes to news 4 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was a multi-media journalist at Fox 6 news,
WITI. He's also had stint in campaign, Illinois (WICD) and Quincy, Illinois (KHQA).

Bret has covered a variety of events including the Mississippi river flooding of 2008, the removal of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich from office, and his conviction. He began in Wisconsin during arguably the most controversial time in the state's history: the passing of act 10, stripping most collective bargaining rights from public employees, and the recall election of Governor Scott walker. It was there he also reported on the Sikh temple shooting in Oak Creek, which also received national attention.

When Bret isn't holding down the Tucson Today right now anchor desk or holding a news 4 microphone, he's holding a guitar. He loves playing rock n' roll and blues on the live stage, and is looking forward to showing tucson some of his licks. He also loves watching, and quoting classic comedy and mafia movies.
