SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - With the Horseshoe Two Fire 100 percent contained, the focus now is bringing the area back to where it was.
A fire information officer says crews are patrolling burn areas and looking for any remaining hot spots, while rehabilitating fire lines and other fire suppression areas.
Rehabilitation efforts include removing cut trees and other fuels from the areas left over after the creation of fire lines.
Crews have been clearing trees the past few days in anticipation of those areas reopening.
Resources on the fire have been winding down since the third week of June. There are currently 255 personnel assigned to the fire, while at its most active there were 1,400.
