SELLS-The Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross has ended shelter operations at two locations on the Tohono O'Odham Nation, where high winds displaced at least 10 persons and knocked out electric power.
Power has now been restored. The shelters were located in Hickiwan and Sells.
In Hickiwan, operations included a generator diverted from Ajo, a shelter trailer, a public health nurse on site, security and a Red Cross manager supported by AmeriCorps Team 1.
In Sells, operations included transport of additional cots and blankets, a public health nurse on site, security and a Red Cross shelter manager supported by AmeriCorps Team 2.
