With the digital switch around the corner, what do you do with those TV sets that don't work? Wilson Hughes with the city of Tucson says don't throw them in the garbage can, find out who could use it, or recycle it.
One place you can take your old sets is the Los Reales Landfill. Wilson says, "We'd like them to take it to our drop off site out at Los Reales Landfill. They take computers as well as TV's working and non-working."
If you don't want to head to the landfill, you can always go to Pima Computer Recycling. They'll not only take your TV, they'll refurbish it and give it to those less fortunate.
Eva Macias with Pima Computer Recycling says, "People are starting to, instead of taking it to the landfill, they're bringing it over here because they know it's going to be good for somebody else that might be able to use it."
If they can't fix it, they'll ship it to a place that will dispose of it properly. Just a few ways to go green while going digital.
