(NBC NEWS) - The rush for the numbers is on.
Millions are looking to beat the odds and the deadline before tonight's Powerball drawing.
Lottery officials say a billion tickets or more will be sold before the numbers are pulled tonight.
The winner will receive the biggest money in Powerball history, a jackpot of $500-million that's still growing.
You'll have to beat 175,000,000-to-1 odds.
For comparison, you have a better chance at becoming an astronaut, being elected president, winning an Academy Award or being struck by lightning multiple times.
Ticket sales end at 10 o'clock tonight Eastern time - 8 p.m. Tucson time.
The drawing is at 10:59 p.m. Eastern, or 8:59 p.m. Tucson time.
