TUCSON - Bank on today being the 77th day in a row without measurable rain in Tucson.
News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish expects sunny skies & daytime highs in the 107-108 range across the Tucson metro this afternoon. Winds today will be out of the west-northwest at 10-15 mph.
Even with lighter winds, the fire danger remains extreme Saturday, due to the extreme/exceptional drought conditions over southern Arizona.
Temps remain well over 100 degrees over the next 7 days. While chances of rainfall look slim, enough Monsoon moisture will creep in from the south to create mountain cloud buildups starting late next week.
