TUCSON - Pima County Sheriff's are searching for a suspect in a gas station robbery that occurred Thursday north of Tucson.
At about 12:01 p.m. on September 13, deputies responded to a robbery at the Conoco gas station at 3780 West Magee Road, according to a news release from Pima County Sheriff's Department. Detectives also responded to the scene and learned that a male suspect had approached the clerk and owner of the gas station, who were both begind the counter. The suspect, wearing a baseball hat and a black bandana over his face, pointed a silver revolver at the two women and demanded money be placed in a bag.
He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot into a desert area north of the gas station.
The victims described the suspect as a Hispanic male with short, black hair, the news release states. He was wearing dark jeans and a grey faded t-shirt. When the victims watched him running off, they noticed something distinct: the robber was wearing white tennis shoes with red soles.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has any additional information on this case is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
