Rash of motorcycle thefts prompts Sierra Vista Police to issue warning

SIERRA VISTA - An increase in motorcycle thefts has the Sierra Vista Police Department warning residents to take extra precautions with their property.
Since April, police have confirmed 16 motorcycle thefts in the area. Police suggest owners use existing fork locks, disc locks (which can be purchased at any motorcyle dealerships) and chain locks (which can be purchased at any hardware store or local retailer).
If you purchase a chain lock, fasten the motorcycle to a solid, immovable object to help prevent your motorcycle from being taken.
