NEAR HUACHUCA CITY - The fire burning in the Whetstone Mountains near Huachuca City has now burned more than 800 acres since sparking Wednesday night.
The fire was started by lightning. It's grown in size due to burnout operations by fire crews, according to the Coronado National Forest spokesperson.
Viewers report seeing large plumes of smoke throughout the day.
Crews are attacking the fire by ground and air.
