TUCSON-Today was another down day for the monsoon but we'll see it return in a big way come this weekend. Dry air has moved into the region and should stick around throught tomorrow after that we'll see an uptick in the monsoon.
Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino says it's been a great July and a very good start to the Monsoon with the airport in Tucson getting close to 4" of rain the last few weeks. It's the first time this year we are actually above normal for rainfall...that's is a good sign.
The best chance for storms will come on Saturday Afternoon and Evening as several factors align over the region including Fabio Leftovers and a moist flow from the south and east.
