TUCSON - After a few quiet days for Monsoon 2013 storm chances rise into the upcoming weekend.
Some parts of Tucson got lucky with a few isolated showers this afternoon but storm activity will be more widespread starting tomorrow. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, if we can fight through morning cloud cover a lingering low pressure system will bring scattered storms both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
The biggest threat with this weekend's thunderstorms will be heavy rainfall and damaging wind. There will be a high possibility for flash flooding especially along the rain soaked ground near the International Border.
