TUCSON - The first of three transportation open houses was held this afternoon, giving the public a chance to voice their opinions on the $1.5 billion-worth of transportation improvements planned for the region over the next five years.
The Transportation Improvement Program identifies priorities for national, state and local roadways, bus services, aviation, bike and pedestrian facilities, as well as ride-sharing programs.
The TIP includes projects funded through the Regional Transportation Authority Plan, approved by Pima County voters in 2006.
