TUCSON - The latest proposal to settle Tucson Unified School District's longstanding Desegregation case was filed in Federal Court Friday.
It's called the Unitary Status Plan.
The United States Department of Justice and the district worked with the Special Master appointed by the Court - to draft this proposal.
It calls for the district to provide equal educational opportunities to African American and Latino students in several areas, including discipline, family and community engagement and accountability and transparency.
The public can take a look at it by clicking here.
Three forums are scheduled later this month to get imput from the community.
Public comments must be received by November 28, 2012.
