Proposed budget cuts for Tucson Fire has residents heading to Facebook

TUCSON - Tucsonans are using the popular social Web site Facebook to help local firefighters keep their jobs after the City Manager said departments would need to make major cuts.

City departments will present their budget proposals to the city manager on Tuesday, after the departments were told they needed to make major cuts.

The proposed budget cuts include the police and fire departments. News 4 was told, 200 to 300 local jobs could be lost.
