TUCSON - A large vegetable oil spill is restricting traffic around the intersection of Prince and Fairview.

Tucson Police and Tucson Fire crews are on the scene, but the road is still covered with large quantities of slippery vegetable oil.

TFD's Captain Barrett Baker says that although HAZMAT crews are also on the scene, the oil is a non-hazardous material and poses no health danger.

Baker did not have an estimate on when the roadway would be cleared - crews are waiting on additional material to sop up the excess oil.
